In order to attract the startups from all over the world to visit and pursue their luck in France, the newly elected president has announced a visa (Talent passport) for IT and technology related startups.
During the campaign, the President, Emmanuel Macron announced his aim to make France a technology hub.
To fulfill his promise and tale France to altitudes of success, the President announced the new government policy.
Talking to media the President said at the Viva-Tech conference in Paris, “The government would cut any regulation or law that might hurt country’s dream of becoming a technological advance country.”
He added,
“I want France to attract new entrepreneurs, new researchers, and be the nation for innovation and start-ups”.
The President also ensured financial support for the startups.
According to the policy, the visa is termed as “talent passport”. Yes! This resembles much to American H-1B visa that was announced for a person with a special and unique talent.
The tech startups will now get the visa for France easily.
The offer is not limited to tech-startups but it is open for the investors and employees.
To add to this information the permit visa that is going to be issued for France will be valid for four years and it can be extended as per rules and regulations and it can lead to talent passport.
Over the years the tech investment in France has bagged attention. In 2014, the investment was about $1 billion. This investment increased to $2.4 billion in 2016. Further increase is expected in 2017.
Also at the Viva tech conference in Paris, the President said,
“I will ensure that we create a most attractive and creative environment, I will ensure that the state and government act as a platform and not a constraint”.
