The Sindh government has signed major investment deals worth €100 million (about Rs 31 billion) to build Pakistan’s biggest technology zone in Karachi. This project aims to create Pakistan’s own version of Silicon Valley.

The deals were signed for the Special Technology Zone (STZ) at Karachi Education City, which will be spread over 435 acres. Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah held the signing ceremony at his official residence.

What’s Being Built

Karachi Education City covers 9,000 acres and was originally planned for top universities and research centers. Now it will also become a major technology hub where IT companies can set up their offices and factories.
