Affordable.pk recently managed to bag investment on Idea Croron Ka. Idea Croron ka is the First Ever Business Reality Show of Pakistan. Affordable.pk is the Plan9’s alumni startup.

The first episode of the show was aired on 18, March. The shortlisted candidates presented themselves in front of the panel of judges that were investors and advisors.

Affordable.pk was the first startup to get in negotiation with the investors in Idea Croron Ka. Wajiha and  Kashan are the co-founders of the Affordable.pk and they were the one who persuaded the investors. The negotiation was tense but thy wer able to convince the investors to invest in the startup.

Initially Wajiha and Kashan asked for a sum of Rs. 1.5 crores and offered an equity of 15% but after much negotiation the investors agrees to invest Rs. 1 crore for an equity of 30%

The investment was made by Mr. Salim Ghauri the CEO at Netsol and Mr. Humayun Mazhar the CEO at Cres Soft.  The investment means that they get a huge sum of money through which they can proceed their dream and also get a chance to learn from expert advisors.

After the investment both Wajiha and Kashan had to say,

“We are extremely happy to have investors like Humayun Mazhar and Salim Ghauri on board. Giving a small portion of equity against their guidance and mentorship is nothing.”

Success comes after a struggle and Wajiha and Kashan have proved that. Wajiha narrates her story saying,

“Starting off with zero investment, no capital and a single computer, my husband and I initiated a digital design agency Concept beans Pvt Ltd from scratch. With undying perseverance, we eventually partnered with design agencies in USA and UK and became one of the top-rated agencies on Up work.

I am a serial entrepreneur and made head-ways after winning the 2015 WeCreate Challenge Cup for women entrepreneur. It was the turning point for me as it opened my mind to different prospects of entrepreneurship. Right in those days traditional classified e-commerce sites were facing a lot of issues and were being misused causing scams and frauds in the social community.

Being an entrepreneur I decided to take it up as a challenge and find a way to resolve it. This is how I started Affordable.pk a startup based on shared economy and reverse commerce to help the ecosystem and empower social community towards entrepreneurship.

Later we got incubated at Plan9 and things saw a great improvement from there on-wards.

What I learned through all my experience is that no matter how farfetched your dream may be, hard work makes the impossible become possible.”

The Chairman of PITB , Dr. Umar Said and the Director of Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development at PITB,   Nabeel A. Qadeer had all the praise for the couple and co-founders of the Affordable.pk. They wished them a very good luck for the future  endeavors.

People in Pakistan are getting moved by entrepreneurship and its benefit. More and more people are looking forward to work in this field. The youth is coming up with life changing ideas.

Dr. Abdur Rehman is the chairman of NEO and he is of one of those who believe that entrepreneurship can bring a great change. He is willing to promote it on Television.

Nabeel A. Qadeer is nominated by the CEO for carrying forward his plan. Nabeel is selected as best bet to design and lead this initiative considering his knowledge and experience in the area of entrepreneurship.

Nabeel, the well known promoter of entrepreneurship in Pakistan. He has been serving Pakistan through PITB’s platform. .

Together with Nabeel , Dr. Rehman wants to start the first ever Pakistan’s Reality business show. The show is named Idea Croro’n Ka (Million Dollar Idea).

The announcement was made by NEO TV on a red carpet ceremony.

According to Nabeel,

“Pakistani youth needs to see relatable stories of young Entrepreneurs. It is these entrepreneurs who will transform Pakistan and television is the best medium to bring them into the limelight.”

Nabeel seems quite positive about the show. He is the content producer of the show and is also the host

What the ‘show’ will do?

This show named, Idea Croro’n Ka; is a platform that will connect investors and entrepreneurs. People have started joining the show and till the date the prominent names like Salim Ghauri, Founder and CEO at Netsol, Naeem Zamindar, Pakistan Country Director and CEO at Acumen and Humayun Mazhar, Founder, CEO and Chairman at CresVentures have joined as investors for the show.

There will new addition of mire business tycoons once the show starts. Dr. Umar Saif , who is the chairman Punjab Information Technology Board  will be joining the show as the advisor.

He will not only be the advisor but being experienced entrepreneur he will share al tactic to make the business climb ladders if success.

In an interview to TV Dr. Saif commented,

“In Pakistan, we need to develop a culture of entrepreneurship, with young people developing an appreciation, appetite, and skill to dream up ideas and develop high-tech startups as viable businesses. This show is an important step to develop this culture and spread the germ of entrepreneurship in our youth.”

The show is planned such that three startups with brilliant idea will be the guests that will seek advice an guidance from experts.  The two other segments are ‘Himmat Karo Pakistan’ and ‘Pakistan kay Superheroes‘ that will be featured.

Himmat Karo Pakistan features those people who are struggling in daily life to make out their living and ‘Pakistan Kay Superheroes’ is a segment that features the success story of an entrepreneur that have made their life themselves and have worked hard to achieve their life.

Hopefully the Business Reality Show goes on air in March 2017.
