Google reportedly ends business with Huawei that requires the transfer of hardware, software and technical services. Alphabet Inc’s Google blocks Huawei access to android updates after the U.S. government has sought to blacklist around the world. This act (Trump blacklist) is a huge blow to Chinese technology company Huawei, whose goal is to be the top smartphone company by the end of 2020.

People who currently holds Huawei smartphones with Google apps, however, will continue to be able to use and download app updates provided by Google, a Google spokesperson confirmed to the media.

“We are complying with the order and reviewing the implications,”

the Google spokesperson said.

Huawei will only be able to use the public version of Android and will not be able to access apps and services from Google.

“Google Play and the security protections from Google Play Protect will continue to function on existing Huawei devices,”

Google spokesperson further said.

This suspension threatens Huawei’s supply chain business and could detain the rollout of 5G services around the world. But the biggest trouble for Huawei is what the decision means for future smartphone sales.

It is to be noted that most of Google’s popular products like Gmail, YouTube and Google Maps are fully banned in China, where smartphones company Huawei offers domestic alternatives like Tencent’s (TCEHY) WeChat and Baidu (BIDU) Maps.

Huawei has previously said it is developing its own backup operating system under the name “Hongmeng”, in case it was blocked from Google services.

Huawei has been building an alternative operating system just in case it is needed.

said Huawei spokesperson Glenn Schloss.

Continuing its streak of industry-first initiatives to promote digital and eCommerce ecosystem in the country, Telenor Pakistan has launched Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) that allows customers to purchase content from Google Play using their mobile balance.

First in the Pakistani market, DCB eliminates the need of credit/debit card by allowing Telenor users to pay for their favorite apps in Google Play and in-app purchases directly from their mobile balance.

Customers can easily activate DCB on their android handsets by adding ‘Use Telenor Billing’ in the payment methods of their Google Play account menu. Once the activation is complete, the user can simply click on ‘Buy’ on their favorite Google Play content, select ‘Bill my Telenor account’, and provide their Google account password to confirm the purchase.

To boost customer trust and avoid accidental purchases, DCB comes with a refund option that is visible immediately on the purchased app and lasts for two hours Users can keep full track of their DCB purchases via ‘Order History’ in their Google Play account menu.

“We want to simplify and secure digital purchases for our users and DCB achieves it,” said Irfan Wahab Khan, CEO, Telenor Pakistan.

“Through Direct Carrier Billing, we have eliminated the need of credit/debit cards – which most of our young users and unbanked population lacks access to – and boosted customer trust in making digital payments as DCB comes with a refund option and password protects each purchase. Being the country’s primary digital lifestyle partner, Telenor Pakistan will continue to strengthen the country’s digital and ecommerce ecosystem.”

Head of Digital Products, Telenor Pakistan, Nauman Pervaiz said,

“With DCB on Google Play store, consumers will be able to make in-app purchases from within their favorite apps simply by using their mobile balance. New payment options not only help consumers access more content they love, DCB also has the potential to nurture the local app developer economy, incentivizing developers to build for the local market. Telenor is proud to have played a part in bridging financial inclusion and pushing forward our mission of digitizing the future.”

Telenor subscribers can start purchasing their favorite digital content from Google Play store right away as the service is now available to both prepaid and postpaid customers.

Google takes action against the violation of User Data Policy by developers. Google has sent several notices in last 24 hours, to many developers across the world.

The notice featured a warning for developers by Google that their apps will removes or their visibility will limited I Play Store if the apps violate the company’s User Data Policy.

Zombie apps are littering the Google play store. The intentions have been announced and developers whose mobile apps do not have a protected private policy should consider their apps down already.

Jack Cooney is associated with Nerd Agency. It is the same agency that created “Hip Hop Ninja” app. According to Jack,

“I think it’s fantastic, this will clear the Google Play store of so many junk and zombie apps that our games will find increased visibility on the store as the search terms will become much less cluttered.

This will make it easier for people to be able to find our app’s like Hop Hop Ninja!, with better keyword searches like ninja or Nerd Agency and find much more relevant results. (A previous pain point of development for Android).”

Google play store is so crowded with apps, sometimes you end finding a wrong, useless app instead of something useful. This is due to violation of company’s policy.

Google by these steps ensures full user privacy. All consumer privacy concerns will be solved.

Google no doubt has given sometime ti the developers to make the privacy policy addition. The last date for updating their app is March 15. After the date app will have “limited visibility” or will be removed.

Google keeps updating its self. Daily we use it for some reason or the other. The Google play store is the best place to download an app. It only gives you choices but also shows apps of your interest according to your previous downloads.

Google has announced to improve its filtering system to help Play Store users to install secured apps.

Google is taking a step to remove fake reviews on different apps. Over the years, the Play store has some fraudulent apps due to lack of regulatory measures and open source development tools. Sometimes the app are of really good use but after reading the review you decide not to install it or at times the app is just a name. It is useless and has no features but its rating is good and so are the comments so you decide to download it, but you regret it later.

Google Starts Taking Down fake reviews from Play store

Now Play Store will be more secure. Even Google Play Store is removing all those apps that have fraudulent downloads. It is heard that Google also plans to remove paid reviews from the option. The company will drop the apps that will not follow the Developer policy.

Google is taking this step for all the people out there who are using App Store to download their favorite apps. It has been working to improve itself to make it more users friendly. We are hoping to get the new updated version soon
