Ann Lavin who is the Google Director of  Southeast Asia and Finance Minister of Pakistan Ishaq Dar met and at the meeting Ann Lavin suggested some ways in which Google could help to promote eCommerce Pakistan.

The two met in Islamabad on Thursday an Lavin had all the praise for Pakistan for its economic progress in the past years. She said that her company was willing to promote digitization of economy and IT development in Pakistan.

She also assured that Google is really willing to promote e-commerce in Pakistan and wants to make good investments for development.

Defence Minister Ishaq Dar also said on the occasion,

“The Government of Pakistan works on providing a level playing field to all the potential local and foreign investors.”

He also requested Ann Lavin to put forward all the plans and proposals so that they can be reviewed and the work could be started soon.

On the event Ishaq Dar also mentioned that Pakistan has a potential economy.

He said,

” Pakistan has been projected by many foreign institutions as the second best place for investment in the world. With Pakistan’s improved energy and security situation, macroeconomic stability and conducive environment for investment many new investors have also shown a keen interest to invest in IT sector of Pakistan.”

The event was graced by Google Representatives and also the Finance officials from Pakistan.

Google already is working in collaboration with Pakistan. The projects like Nest I/O, Startup Summit 2016 and many more were financed by Google.

It is time for revolutionizing the information technology. For this Pakistan and China again joined hands. Pakistan-China Joint Chamber of Commerce is on a mission to being this revolution in association with China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

From Sichuan a delegation was sent by Chinese government to meet the President of PCJCCI who is Wang Zihai. The delegation was from BODA software solutions and consisted of three people. The delegation was led by Qui Ziynn and it aimed to strengthen old friendship between the two countries and their IT Sector.

The Secretary General M. Salahudin Hanif of PCJCCI on regarding this said,

” The IT and Telecom ministries are collaborating to form ‘e-commerce gateway framework’ to open more opportunities in online commercial ventures and also Pakistan’s mobile gaming and animation industry earns millions per month by developing and exporting mobile applications.”

He also praised the efforts of Government of Pakistan in this regard.

The commettiee also told about some recent works that CPEC is looking on to. The areas they are focusing are energy and infrastructure development. Both the countries have always been in good relations and have gained a lot of benefit. Hope this is also the project that brings change and betterment in IT field.

Pakistan and China friendship has always been in news for one reason or another. China has always provided aid and support in every field. This time the two friends are joining hands to establish an IT Industrial Park in Sindh.

The MoU was signed in the presence of the Chief Minister IT Sindh Dr. Sikandar Ali Shoro and China’s Ministry of Industries and Information Technology.

On this occasion Dr. Sikandar said, “This will help promote IT in Sindh and increment its development in the province. T hey agreed to promote, and exchange views, experiences, and knowledge in the field of Information Technology and Industrial Development and strengthen the strong relations between province of Sindh and Peoples Republic of China.

It is not the first park that is going to be built in Pakistan by China.  IT Park is being constructed in Islamabad nowadays. It will reach its Phase I approximately by 2018.  It was a project of 3 phases costing about 1.5 billion Dollars. The recently signed agreement does not have any information regarding the park but it will be similar to the one already being constructed. This agreement is by CPEC.

Pakistan and China IT industrial park is an area zoned and planned for the sole purpose of development of IT industry. This area houses multiple firms working for the benefit and progress of the industry. It also acts as a dynamic business and trading platform for local and international industries.

It is one major step towards the development of country. We hope Pak-China bonds remain strong and both the countries keep benefiting each other so that both the countries become rich in resources and flourish so the people can also be prosperous.
