On the 24th of March, KE and HBL collaborated on a new initiative. The goal is to encourage more customers to pay their bills online using the HBL Konnect app in exchange for rewards on their payments. The campaign will run until June 20, 2022.

The procedure is straightforward: the user must register on the HBL Konnect app with their valid mobile and CNIC numbers. They will receive a Rs. 800 payback if they pay four bills in a row; however, users are only eligible for a cashback after two consecutive bill payments. Following that, an SMS confirmation is sent to the registered mobile phone.

This is a very clever incentive-based approach to get individuals to switch from paper to electronic billing.

Since the epidemic, the number of people using online payments has increased by 73 percent, as more people utilise online banking and e-commerce to perform transactions. KE worked with NIFT ePay to integrate digitised payment facilities on its website as a result of these measurements. KE’s self-service WhatsApp webpage and the KE Live App also accept online bill payments.
