The Punjab Provincial Government announced that all public schools in the province will hold the first virtual science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) competition from June 7th to 17th.

The Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas announced the news about the game through his Twitter account. He said this intervention will increase student participation in STEM subjects, adding that all courses will be broadcast live on Facebook.

“I’m proud to announce the first STEM competition in a public school. Our intervention will increase the participation of students and teachers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects. All courses will be broadcast live on Facebook,” Raas announced on Twitter.

STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of ​​educating students in four specific disciplines (including science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) in an interdisciplinary and applied method.

STEM does not teach the four subjects to students as discrete subjects but integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on practical applications. At the same time, all public and private schools in Punjab have reopened from today on a “stratified” approach.

According to the notice from the school’s education department, only 50% of the students attend class on any given day, and no students attend school for two consecutive days.

In a tweet, Murad Raas, the provincial education minister, stated that the government team will closely monitor the situation.
