The world’s second-largest smartphone manufacturer has opened a store in Pakistan, boosting Airlink and Xiaomi’s sales by a factor of ten.

Because the smartphone assembly in Pakistan will be reduced to zero, this agreement will result in lower duties/taxes on SKD imports. Previously, the taxes were higher than 20%.

Because of the low labour costs in the country, local manufacture and even exporting of products will lower overall pricing in the future. The collaboration not only provides better value for money, but it also generates cash for the government. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for new doors to open for exponential economic growth.

The Redmi 9C, a collaboration between Xiaomi and Airlink, is the first of several in the Made in Pakistan tradition. This locally produced gadget will be available through leading distributor partners such as Phonezo, Airlink, Smartlink, and Tech Sirat, with an all-new memory variant of 4,128GB and two new colours (Aurora Green and Lavender Purple).

Xiaomi had to launch its mobile phone but due to some distribution challenges the launch has been delayed. It’s not delayed for long; it will launch its mobile in Pakistan on 20th February, 2017.

Xiaomi joined hands with Smart Link for distribution, launch and management issues.

In association with launch partners like Smart Link, Daraz ad Zong; Xiaomi Pakistan will launch the phones in a great ceremony of launch event in Islamabad. The event will be attended by officials from China too.

Once the phones are launched they will be made available for Pakistanis as nearest mobile phone shops immediately.

The Xiaomi phones will also be made available at Daraz.

Till now only four mobile phones have been allowed to launch by PTA.

Xiaomi phones come with warranty and yet the prices have not been released. It is just believed that the price will be affordable.
