Roomi Icon, an impending real estate project being erected on a prominent position on Jinnah Avenue in Karachi, has obtained the sales and marketing rights from Pakistan’s largest real estate firm.

During a recent event, Zameen.com and the project’s developer toasted their partnership. Roomi Builders CEOs Farhan Roomi and Faheem Roomi were in attendance, as were Zameen.com Senior Director Sales (South) Taha Mehmood, Director Project Sales (South) Agha Asrar, and Associate Directors Project Sales Shoaib Anees, Asghar Ali, and Sultan Mehmood.

Senior Director Sales (South) Taha Mehmood of Zameen.com declared at the event that the 26-story Roomi Icon will be the epitome of international-standard living in the metropolis. Because the residential tower is equipped with a wide range of high-valued amenities, an investment made here is sure to yield attractive returns, he noted. Mehmood went on to say that the project will be unique in the Karachi residential sector.

Roomi Builders’ CEOs Farhan Roomi and Faheem Roomi announced that Roomi Icon has been approved by all relevant authorities and would contain magnificent apartments and penthouses, shedding light on the project’s investment prospects.

They also stated that it is currently the tallest structure on Jinnah Avenue, and that it will include amenities and features that will make it a true icon of the luxury apartment lifestyle in Karachi’s real estate market.

Emerging Markets Property Group (EMPG) child companies in South Asia and MENA.

Emerging Markets Property Group (EMPG) — the parent group of Zameen.com with operations in GCC, Pakistan, Thailand, Bangladesh, Morocco and Tunisia, and OLX Group, Prosus’s global classifieds business, have announced their merger in Pakistan, Egypt, Lebanon, and the UAE.

The deal includes a US $150 million investment round, led by OLX Group along with existing EMPG shareholders, which values EMPG at the US $1 billion after the transaction. As part of the agreement, OLX Group will contribute its operations in the four countries into EMPG and will become EMPG’s largest single shareholder, owning 39% of the company.
