Five Pakistani TikTokers Nominated for Travel Creator of the Year

In a major recognition for Pakistan’s travel vloggers, five TikTok influencers have been nominated for the prestigious Travel Content Creator of the Year award. The nominees include Abrar Hassan, Zonir, Laiq Abbas, Zeenat Irfan, and Asif Ashoor, who have made a mark with their breathtaking travel content.

For the first time, two creators from Gilgit-Baltistan have earned nominations in this category. Asif Ashoor from Baltistan and Laiq Abbas from Gilgit have been recognized for their captivating storytelling that highlights the stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage of the region.

Asif Ashoor: Showcasing the Heights of Gilgit-Baltistan

Asif Ashoor, known for his daring expeditions and high-altitude content, expressed his pride in being nominated. “I am honored to represent my region in the Travel category. I believe my content stands out as I am the only Pakistani creator filming from such extreme altitudes,” he stated.

Through his TikTok videos, Asif has been instrumental in showcasing Gilgit-Baltistan’s scenic beauty and cultural richness, helping to boost tourism in the area. “Every piece of content I create is aimed at portraying the positive aspects of my homeland,” he added.

Acknowledging the tough competition, Asif remarked, “I am up against some of Pakistan’s most prominent TikTok creators, but being nominated is already a huge achievement.” He also thanked TikTok Pakistan for recognizing his efforts.

The Role of TikTok in Promoting Tourism

Local tour guide Nazir Hussain praised the nomination of both Asif and Laiq Abbas, emphasizing the impact of TikTok creators in attracting global travelers to Gilgit-Baltistan. “These videos serve as an inspiration for international vloggers to explore the region,” he said, expressing hope that the Travel Creator of the Year award would be won by someone from Gilgit-Baltistan.

The Voting Process

The TikTok Creator of the Year award is decided by user votes. Asif Ashoor explained, “Fans can vote through TikTok’s in-app feature, and the creator with the highest votes will take home the title.”

The annual awards ceremony, held in Lahore, honors top creators across various categories, celebrating their contributions to Pakistan’s digital content landscape.
