Google Play Protect aims to keep you safe from malicious apps
Google has always tried to give its customers the best possible experience and this is the reason the authorities are working o keeping malicious apps away from Google Play Store.
Google has now introduced this new feature under the name of ‘Google Play Protect’. This gives you a secure downloading experience.
Google Play Protect is a toe of scanner that scans all the apps that have been downloaded from the Google Play Store.
The best part is the check the feature keeps like the app is scrutinized before the download and the work does not end here. Google Play Protect feature further tracks and observes the app after short time intervals to prevent any harm to your data.
Initially the downloaded apps would get update. The self updating feature violates the terms of Google and thus a way was introduced to stop that. Now with the introduction of the new feature it is claimed that full privacy will be given and the security level is made high.
Google say,
“Users will also get notifications when a security issue is detected by the service.”
Stages have been introduced for the detection of bugs. The service will be running on all android devices using Google Play Services 11 and up.
You can avail the service by visiting the setting tab and choosing security menu in your Play Store.
The video has been shared below so that you can know how the feature works:
According to Google,
“All Android apps undergo rigorous security testing before appearing in the Google Play Store. We vet every app developer in Google Play and suspend those who violate our policies. So even before you download an app, you know it’s been checked and approved. Then, Play Protect scans billions of apps daily to make sure everything remains spot on.”
This is sort of Smartphone antivirus. So, enjoy the real and clean apps on you devices.
