Ufone is changing the prices of two of its regular prepaid packages, but it’s also launching cheaper special packages for people who receive BISP (Benazir Income Support Programme) support.
Prices Going Up (starting September 26)
- SC Lite package: now Rs. 1,700 — gives you 10GB data, 2,000 minutes for Ufone/PTCL/Telenor numbers, 200 minutes for other networks, and 2,000 SMS.
- Weekly Mega Offer: now Rs. 730 — gives you 100GB data (plus 50GB extra for social media), 10,000 minutes for Ufone/PTCL/Telenor numbers, 1,500 minutes for other networks, and 10,000 SMS.
Cheaper Packages for BISP Beneficiaries
If you’re registered with BISP, Ufone has special low-cost packages just for you, starting at only Rs. 50:

Why the Price Change?
Like other telecom companies, Ufone says rising costs of running the network — plus growing demand for mobile data — are pushing prices up for regular users. At the same time, the company is trying to make sure low-income and vulnerable groups, like BISP beneficiaries, still have access to affordable calling and data.
Ufone’s Monthly Packages Cost More Than Jazz and Zong for Similar Data
Alongside the recent price hike, a direct comparison shows that Ufone’s monthly packages are now more expensive than similar offers from Jazz and Zong. Looking at packages that give roughly the same 10GB of monthly data along with calling minutes and SMS, Ufone’s SC Lite package costs Rs. 1,700 — the highest of the three networks — while also offering fewer minutes and SMS than Zong’s comparable package. Zong’s Monthly Super Card comes in cheaper at Rs. 1,600 and even includes unlimited on-network minutes and SMS. Jazz, however, is by far the most affordable option, offering the same 10GB data bundle for less than half of Ufone’s price at just Rs. 650, along with 3,000 minutes and 3,000 SMS. This means that if you’re comparing similar-sized monthly packages across networks, Ufone customers are currently paying the most for the least.
