WhatsApp co-founder Brian is leaving the company

Brian Acton, who is well known for being the co-founder of WhatsApp has decided to quit is job. He alone has the worth of $6.5 billion and intends to start his own non-profitable organization. Back in 2009, John with his friend Jan Koum lunched the app.

Since then the app has gain so much popularity that it has like 1.3 billion monthly users and 1 billion daily users. After finishing all the paper work Brian is reported to leave the company  in November.

Brian in his Facebook post said,

“After 8 years at WhatsApp, I have decided to move on and start a new chapter in my life. I am very fortunate at my age to have the flexibility to take new risks and focus on what I’m passionate about. I’ve decided to start a non-profit focused at the intersection of nonprofit, technology and communications. It’s something I’ve thought about for a while, and now it’s time to just focus and execute. I’ll have more to share in the coming months.”

“This decision is, of course, a tough one. I’m proud of what our team has accomplished in only a few years, and it’s humbling to see that so many people rely on WhatsApp every day.”

Brian is a team leader. He has internally led whole engineering department. A person from company praised the work of Brian and said,

“His role in the company was very important and no one can fulfill the void which he is leaving behind.”

Brian has worked for Facebook when  in 2014 Facebook bought Whatsapp for $19 billion.

Failures lead to bigger success.Before launching the app Brian gave interviews for joining Facebook and Twitter but the both companies denied him a job. It was lucky for hm not to work their as he come up with one of the best messaging app which is currently serving billions.
