Asad Umar’s Twitter Account Hacked After PTI Snatches Punjab Govt From PML-N
PTI verified in a formal statement released late last night that Asad Umar, the organization’s secretary general, had his Twitter account hacked.
According to the statement, PTI is presently coordinating with Twitter to recover Asad’s account as soon as possible and is requesting that Asad’s followers report any tweets that seem out of the ordinary in the interim. Since January 2012, Asad Umar has been a Twitter user. More than 8.5 million people follow him. No out of the ordinary behaviour has yet been observed in his account.
Asad Umar is an extremely active user of several social networking sites. Asad made sure that the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) regularly updated the public on the Coronavirus epidemic during his tenure as NCOC’s Head.
Since 2013, Asad Umar has served as a Member of the National Assembly (MNA). Asad first held the position of Finance Minister during the PTI-led federal government’s term, and then he held the position of Planning Minister. Asad Umar held the position of CEO of Engro Corporation from 2004 to 2012 before to entering politics. He announced his departure from this position and his joining of PTI.
This is not the first time a PTI leader’s Twitter account has been compromised. The former Energy Minister Hammad Azhar’s Twitter account, email, and Apple ID were all compromised earlier this year in May.
