KFC has launched smartphone on its 30th anniversary
KFC is famous for selling delicious fast food but it has now come up with its own smart phone. Surprised? Well, don’t be. Recently KFC and Huawei joined hands to launch a smart phone in China as KFC completes 30 successful years.
It is not going to be part of the phone market rather it is just a way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of KFC. The phones will be limited edition. To add to excitement, KFC has opted red colour for the Smartphone.
Apparently the KFC smartphone resembles to Huawei Enjoy 7 Plus, the phone was recently launched in the market. The sad part is that the KFC smartphone will only be available in China and will roll out in market today. To the people there, the mobile phone will cost them 1, 099 Yuan that makes US $161.91. Only 5000 smart phones will be sold. The phone will have a KFC app pre-installed in it.
The Senior Vice President of KFC marketing with Yum China, Mr. Steven Li, said,
“Both brands have witnessed the rise of China in these 30 years, and both embody the spirit of the times. Our collaboration is homage to the era. The launch of the phone is also an important phase in the brand’s effort to fully digitalize the user experience and venture into smart F&B and entertainment.”
The features of the mobile phone are as follows:
- 5-inch LCD display panel with a resolution of 1,280 by 720 pixels.
- Comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage capacity.
- Premium variant has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space.
- Phone is supported by Snapdragon 425, Qualcomm’s mid-range system-on-chip (SoC) with the Adreno 308 GPU.
