Samsung Reportedly Cutting Smartphone Production by 30M
The world has changed dramatically since the Covid-19 pandemic. Companies have found it challenging to stay in business in the market due to supply chain bottlenecks and financial challenges.
The pandemic has not only harmed small enterprises, but it has also harmed some of the world’s largest corporations. Samsung is a well-known brand. Samsung is expected to reduce its smartphone output by 30 million units, according to recent estimates.
According to a new report from Maeil Business in South Korea, Samsung is reducing manufacturing by 30 million devices by 2022. The announcement comes as the turmoil in Ukraine continues to stymie sales. Apple and Microsoft also halted their sales in Russia in March.
Apple is also suffering from the same problem. The company has confirmed that it would produce an additional 20 million phones in 2022. It’s also worth noting that, starting in 2021, the numbers are expected to remain flat.
However, it is unclear which phones Samsung may stop producing in the future. It’s feasible that the corporation will continue to make specialised phones. More information will be available in the coming days.
