Apple will Launch its First Augmented, Virtual Reality Devices Soon
Apple Inc is likely to release its augmented and virtual reality headsets soon after the company’s board of directors saw a demonstration of the gadget.
According to Bloomberg, Apple has accelerated development of the device in recent months, aiming for a 2019 release rather than the originally planned 2023 launch.
Apple has been developing augmented reality versions of core iPhone apps for use with the new headgear, as well as other apps to handle immersive multimedia streaming and virtual meetings.
With high-resolution displays, a powerful chip, and advanced sensors, the device is projected to be big and expensive. According to prior reports, the device will cost more than $1000.
Future versions of the headset, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, are already in development, with the business intending to make a pair of lightweight augmented reality glasses. Apple’s WWDC keynote on June 6 is expected to feature a sneak peek at the next smartphone, according to rumours.
