For the first time, World’s richest tech billionaires’ wealth surpasses $1 trillion
Finally the annual list of Forbes for Richest In Tech 2017 is out. The names are surely not new. The kings of technology are ruling in their field and a 100 men altogether make a worth of $1.08 trillion.
It has been three years since Forbes has introduced its Richest in Tech list and for the very first time people altogether have crossed a trillion mark. The cumulative worth is surprising.
Forbes is a business magazine and it develops annual lists ranking people from different fields according to their wealth.
As compared to last year the cumulative wealth has increased b 21% this year.
Bill Gates seems un-defeatable here. Topping the list he still remains the richest in tech with a total fortune of $85.4 billion that has increased by $6.5 billion.
Jeff Bezos lands on the second place with th total worth of $81.7 billion. The third name is not a surprise, Mark Zuckerberg with a total worth of $69.6 billion is also the 5th youngest on the list.
Asians are not behind. They make one third of the list. Jack Ma is on the seventh place in richest tech billionaires list and has a total fortune of $37.4 billion.
Other names on the list include Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, Tesla and SpaceX chief Elon Musk, Facebook’s lesser known co-founder Eduardo Saverin, and the founder of Xiaomi Lei Jun who saw a drop of $2.9 billion in his net worth.
Uber co-founder Travis Kalanick also saw a drop of $1.2 billion in his fortune, following a series of scandals that have hit the ride-hailing startup. Snapchat’s co-founder Evan Spiegel made it back to the list with a net worth of $3.2 billion. He is also the youngest person on the list.
Six women managed to make it to Forbes richest tech billionaires list. Their cumulative worth is $27.6 billion.
