TDAP (Trade Development Authority of Pakistan) has come up with an innovative idea, i.e. creation of an online Exporter’s manual for assistance of foreign and national buyers, named Pakistan’s Exporters Directory.
The database contains list of Pakistani exporters of as late as 2016 and is available at the official site of TDAP. The detail would be updated continually by TDAP on the basis of exports and performances.
The Online Exporters Directory database comprises of the names of exporters with details such as company name, HS Code and product category. Each company in product category is further classified as Small, Medium and Large depending upon the worth.
For the Buyers, the database is a focal point with all necessary details available, while the database would also benefit economy of both the exporter and country by boasting exports. The new companies may also attain relevant promotion.
The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), which was established on November 8, 2006, under a Presidential Ordinance, shall have Ministry of Commerce as its administrative ministry.
Accordingly future developments would continue and the scope would be enlarged. But my word is that the future may well be concerned with the success the database attains! Hope it doesn’t vanish out like other bright prospects!
