The popular YouTube creator launches his first tech venture, unifying six premium AI models into one affordable platform for users worldwide.

Dhruv Rathee, the Indian YouTuber known for simplifying politics, economics, and technology for millions, has officially stepped into the startup world with the launch of AI Fiesta. This subscription-based platform offers global users access to six of the world’s most advanced AI models under one roof—at a fraction of the cost of subscribing individually.

Who Is Dhruv Rathee?

Dhruv Rathee is no stranger to breaking down complex topics. With over 36 million subscribers across his channels and billions of views, he has become one of India’s most recognizable digital voices. Based in Berlin, Germany, Rathee holds a degree in mechanical engineering and renewable energy from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. His influence extends far beyond YouTube, often shaping conversations on governance, climate change, and digital transformation.

How the Idea Came to Life

In his launch video, Rathee revealed that AI Fiesta was born from personal frustration. While working on his fact-check-driven content, he relied on multiple AI tools—ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and others—spending nearly $200 each month to cover different needs.

Yet, even after paying, he found fragmentation, token limits, and inefficiencies frustrating. Meanwhile, most of his own students in AI courses were stuck on free versions, missing out on the real potential of advanced models.

“I realized most people never experience AI’s full capabilities because of cost and complexity,” Rathee explained. “That’s when the idea of bringing all major AI tools together, at an affordable price, clicked.”

What AI Fiesta Offers

AI Fiesta is positioned as a unified AI hub, simplifying access while keeping costs low.

Six AI Models: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Perplexity, DeepSeek.

Learning Community: 3,000+ prompt library, exclusive webinars, and access to Rathee’s AI user community.

Pricing – Global & India

AI Fiesta is designed for global reach but India-first accessibility.

Global Plans:

$120 / year (save 17%)

India Plans:

₹999 / month

₹833 / month (annual plan)

Supports UPI payments and will soon roll out regional language features (Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada).

Subscriptions include 400,000 tokens/month, quarterly webinars with Rathee, and access to community resources.

Reception & Skepticism

The launch has sparked debate online. On Reddit, some praised the affordability compared to individual AI subscriptions:

“This is Dhruv’s startup… paid versions, price is very low.”

Others, however, questioned whether the model can truly sustain itself:

“Another influencer business in the name of AI. Nothing but making idiots of followers.”

The reactions highlight the challenge Rathee faces: convincing skeptics that AI Fiesta is more than an influencer-backed side hustle, but a serious tool democratizing AI.

Why This Matters

Democratizing AI: AI Fiesta lowers cost barriers, making advanced AI accessible to students, professionals, and creators worldwide.

India-First, Global Vision: While global in scope, India’s massive digital population is at the heart of the rollout. UPI integration and local languages signal clear localization.

Influencer-to-Entrepreneur Shift: Rathee represents a new wave of creators who are leveraging their platforms to build real tech solutions.

Transparency Promise: The startup plans monthly updates, quarterly webinars, and rapid adoption of new models like ChatGPT-5.

With AI Fiesta, Dhruv Rathee isn’t just entering the AI market—he’s attempting to reshape how people, especially in cost-sensitive regions, interact with artificial intelligence. Whether the platform can balance affordability with quality remains to be seen, but Rathee’s influence and community-first approach may give him a unique edge in making AI truly mainstream.

In the fast-paced world of startups in Pakistan, a wave of uncertainty and financial challenges is sweeping through, leading several ventures to make tough decisions. As the entrepreneurial landscape faces headwinds, notable players like Cheetay, Dastgyr Technologies, YAP, and Paymob find themselves at a crossroads, grappling with the prospect of closures or substantial workforce reductions.

Cheetay’s Dilemma

Cheetay, a delivery service startup that entered the scene in 2015, initially gained popularity as an online food delivery platform. Co-founded by brothers Ahmad Khan and Majid Khan, Cheetay expanded its services to include grocery deliveries at the onset of the pandemic, employing a dropshipping model from physical stores to customers. This evolution eventually led to the adoption of a quick commerce model, involving the establishment of dark stores for expedited deliveries.

Ahmed Khan – Cheety.pk Founder

Despite its earlier successes, Cheetay now stands on the brink of permanent closure. Sources close to the founders reveal that, following the release of half its workforce late last year, the company is contemplating a shutdown. An official at Cheetay, speaking on condition of anonymity, acknowledged the challenges, stating, “As a business, it doesn’t make sense anymore.” The quick commerce model’s high-burn nature, coupled with insufficient demand for immediate grocery services, poses formidable challenges, exacerbated by the current high-inflation environment in Pakistan and a global dearth of risk capital.

This situation is not unique to Cheetay, as Airlift, despite raising an $85 million round, announced its shutdown in June 2022. The dominance of foodpanda in the restaurant aggregator space further compounded Cheetay’s troubles, ultimately leading to the decision to shut down all operations, including the quick commerce business.

Dastgyr’s Struggle

Another significant player, Dastgyr Technologies, a B2B eCommerce marketplace, finds itself in a similar predicament. Competing with Bazaar, Retailo, and the now-collapsed Jugnu, Dastgyr has decided to cut its workforce by 50%-60%. Co-founder Muhammad Owais Qureshi, in a company-wide email, expressed the difficulty of reducing the team and attributed it to the “global and local political and financial climate” and an “unforeseen economic crisis.”

Dastgyr Founders

Dastgyr had already let go of most of its warehouse staff before the new year, but the challenges persisted into 2024, affecting white-collar workers as well. The B2B startup, having raised over $40 million in funding since its inception, faces the instability of its underlying fundamentals, resulting in substantial cash burn. The competitive landscape, with strong players like Bazaar securing $70 million in March 2022, contributes to the challenges faced by Dastgyr.

Despite attempts to reach out to Dastgyr’s co-founders for more details on the downsizing, the response has been a resounding silence, underscoring the sensitivity and severity of the situation.

YAP’s Financial Turmoil

In the fintech sector, YAP, an emerging electronic money institution (EMI), is experiencing financial turmoil. Layoffs have affected almost the entire workforce of about 50 people in Pakistan, leaving only two employees. This drastic measure raises concerns not only about the company’s immediate future but also about its in-principle approval for the EMI license.

Despite having operations in Saudi Arabia and the UAE and raising $41 million in July 2022, YAP has struggled to meet the central bank’s minimum capital requirement. The company’s inability to fulfill this obligation puts its in-principle approval at risk, and though it has not officially withdrawn its license application, the situation remains precarious.

The company’s original plans to capitalize on the significant remittances from Middle Eastern countries, particularly Saudi Arabia and the UAE, seem jeopardized. The potential withdrawal from Pakistan would mark an unprecedented move for a tech company from the Middle East, impacting not just YAP but also the broader fintech ecosystem.

Paymob’s Sudden Realization

Similarly, financial technology company Paymob is navigating a sudden realization that its rapid workforce expansion may have been too ambitious. With over 90 employees, Paymob is now aggressively downsizing, affecting 35%-50% of its workforce. Specializing in online payment processing, Paymob had not considered downsizing until December 2023.

Despite being well-funded and expanding into promising markets in the Middle East, particularly the UAE and Oman, Paymob has struggled to achieve sustainability and positive unit economics. The company’s decision to downsize is seen as a necessary cost-cutting measure rather than an exit from the Pakistani market. However, the lack of a proactive approach in increasing revenues and achieving profitability through sustainable means has left investors less than satisfied.

The restructuring in Pakistan may be linked to Paymob’s shifting regional focus to the Middle East. While this move aims to capitalize on promising markets, it underscores the challenges faced by startups in balancing growth and sustainability.

Implications for the Startup Ecosystem

The challenges faced by Cheetay, Dastgyr, YAP, and Paymob offer insights into the broader issues affecting the Pakistani startup ecosystem. The high-burn nature of certain business models, coupled with intense competition and global economic uncertainties, has created a challenging environment.

For startups, the key lessons include the importance of strategic planning, sustainable growth, and adaptability to changing market dynamics. The ability to balance expansion with financial stability remains a critical factor for long-term success.

As the startup ecosystem navigates these challenges, it prompts a broader conversation about the role of investors, regulatory frameworks, and market conditions in shaping the trajectory of young companies. The fate of these startups will not only impact their founders and employees but also contribute to the ongoing narrative of entrepreneurship in Pakistan. In the face of adversity, the resilience and adaptability of the startup community will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of innovation and business in the country.

Having a secondary source of income has become increasingly important in recent years. Many social media sites have money-making opportunities. One such platform is YouTube, which has a large number of users. You can start making money from your YouTube channel by creating one. The procedures to creating your own YouTube channel are outlined here.

The process of creating your channel is really simple, and it only takes about 30 minutes on your laptop, PC, or mobile device. Follow the instructions below:

First and foremost, launch the YouTube app on your mobile devices or the YouTube browser on your laptop or desktop computer. Use your Google account to log in.

In the pop-up menu, click on your profile image icon and then “Create a Channel.”
A dialogue window appears, asking you to confirm the details, such as the Channel name and Photo.

Fill in your information and submit a photo, then click the “Create Channel” button to launch your YouTube channel. You can now add videos and other items to the channel for others to see.

Now, if you don’t know how to upload, keep reading this post because we’ll show you how to accomplish it.

Go to studio.youtube.com to access your YouTube creative studio.

Select “Upload videos” from the “Create” menu in the top-right corner of the screen.

Now choose the video from your device, drag and drop the files, and then select “Select files.”

After you’ve selected the file, it will begin uploading in the background.

In the dialogue box, fill in the details for the uploaded video, such as the title, description, and thumbnails.

Continue with subtitles, an end screen, and “cards.”

Choose whether the video will be “Private,” “Unlisted,” or “Public.”

Only you and a few people you pick will be able to see the movie if you choose “Private.”

If you choose “Unlisted,” the only method to watch the video is to click on the direct link to it.

If you choose “Public,” your video will be viewable in the same way as any other YouTube video.

After you’ve finished uploading your video, click “Done” and “Save,” and your video will appear on YouTube.

Making your own YouTube channel is a very simple process; the content you generate and post is more difficult. Will the viewer be interested in viewing your video or not?

The world’s second-largest smartphone manufacturer has opened a store in Pakistan, boosting Airlink and Xiaomi’s sales by a factor of ten.

As smartphones usher us all into the digital age, they are quickly becoming a requirement for everyone. With access to the enormous Airlink network (which includes over 1000+ dealers, 4000+ merchants, and is spread across more than 300 cities), Xiaomi will be able to back up its claims of higher value for money spent.
Because the smartphone assembly in Pakistan will be reduced to zero, this agreement will result in lower duties/taxes on SKD imports. Previously, the taxes were higher than 20%.

Because of the low labour costs in the country, local manufacture and even exporting of products will lower overall pricing in the future. The collaboration not only provides better value for money, but it also generates cash for the government. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for new doors to open for exponential economic growth.

The Redmi 9C, a collaboration between Xiaomi and Airlink, is the first of several in the Made in Pakistan tradition. This locally produced gadget will be available through leading distributor partners such as Phonezo, Airlink, Smartlink, and Tech Sirat, with an all-new memory variant of 4,128GB and two new colours (Aurora Green and Lavender Purple).

Xiaomi has you covered if you want to buy it online, as the Redmi 9C is also available on MiStore and Daraz. The Made in Pakistan Redmi 9C will be available both physically and online for PKR 22,999/-

Xiaomi is committed to constant innovation, high-quality user experience, and operational efficiency, as part of our aim to “make friends with users and be the coolest company in their hearts.” The company works tirelessly to provide incredible items at fair costs so that everyone in the globe can benefit from cutting-edge technology.Xiaomi Corporation was established in April 2010 and went public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange’s Main Board on July 9, 2018. (1810.HK). Xiaomi is a consumer electronics and smart manufacturing firm with an IoT platform at its core that connects smartphones and smart gear.

Xiaomi is a top smartphone manufacturer in the globe. In the third quarter of 2021, the company’s market share in terms of smartphone shipments was ranked third in the world.

As of September 30, 2021, the business had built the world’s leading consumer AIoT (AI+IoT) platform, with over 400 million smart items connected to it, excluding smartphones and laptops. Xiaomi devices are available in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. The company made the Fortune Global 500 list for the third time in August 2021, placing 338th, up 84 places from 2020.
The Hang Seng Index, Hang Seng China Enterprises Index, Hang Seng TECH Index, and Hang Seng China 50 Index all include Xiaomi.

Careem Pay, the company’s fintech subsidiary, has started in Pakistan as a separate corporation with intentions to invest $50 million in the country’s fintech ecosystem. It will be led by General Manager Noman Khurshid.Subject to SBP final clearance, Careem Pay will be able to provide convenient and accessible financial services to 9+ million Customers, 800,000 Captains, and 3000+ merchants both on and off the Careem App.

Careem Pay will offer services such as bill payments, government and education fees, peer-to-peer (P2P) transfer, and wallet cash-outs once it receives operational readiness from SBP. Careem Pay plans to offer cards, inward foreign remittance services, and services that allow customers and merchants to make and receive online and offline payments in following phases, subject to SBP clearance.

This is in addition to Careem Pay’s existing capabilities, which include payment across all Careem services, such as ride-hailing and food delivery, as well as P2P credit transfers and mobile top-ups within the app.

“Careem Pay aspires to simplify and improve lives by making everyday payments easier and more accessible for our Customers, Captains, and merchants,” said Mudassir Sheikha, CEO and Co-founder of Careem.

We are grateful to the SBP for awarding us an IPA for the EMI license, which provides us with a tremendous chance to empower individuals through innovative payment experiences. With over 30% of the population and 18% of women banked in Pakistan, we see this as a huge potential to move away from cash payments and toward digital transactions. “Careem Pay!” chalo!

“Careem is well positioned to leverage into the digital financial opportunities in Pakistan,” said Noman Kurshid, GM Pakistan, Careem Pay.

We understand the problem issues and are well positioned to develop solutions to address them because we have a large Customer, Captain, and merchant base across the country that conducts high frequency transactions on our platform. We are thrilled to contribute to Pakistan’s financial ecosystem’s digitization and financial inclusion.”
